Galileo …

|
- Galileo lived in Italy from 1592 to 1610.
- He fought with the Church to tell the truths he found by experiment. He argued in favor of Copernicus - that the Sun was the center of the solar system.
- He found that a pendulum keeps time according to its length, but regardless of the length of swing.
- He observed that all falling bodies have weight and that they fall or travel downhill at the same acceleration, regardless of that weight.
- He saw the moons of Jupiter in an improved telescope he made.
- Some call Galileo the father of Physics because of his experimental approach to documenting each reason for his beliefs.
- He sought physical evidence to back up what he thought to be true by the Scientific Method of repeatedly testing out a theory.
